Random Tuesday

1. I have officially finished my summer school duties as of today, and the month of July is mine. Tomorrow, I will celebrate by cleaning closets. Maybe. I might start by trying to fix my vacuum cleaner that threw craps a few days ago, because the carpets are starting to look so bad I'm wondering if it is advisable to wear shoes in the house. Either way, it is my day. And I'm looking forward to it.

2. For Father's Day I took hubby to the Marlboro Hot Laps at Gateway International Racetrack. We had a blast and I think it was the best Father's Day he's ever had!

3. Buying a pop-up camper in July so to spend more time with the boys, making memories. I wish we had done it years ago when John was small, but he never enjoyed camping, so it probably is just as well.

4. Need a new camera. Can't take decent pics to post on the blog and it is disappointing.

5. Big storm here on Saturday night knocked our power out for 20 hours. It was laundry day too, so now I'm playing catch up. On top of that, I missed Mass because I couldn't sleep in the hot house and couldn't shower and refused to go in the shape I was in. Now wishing I had gone, because my week feels like it goes so much better when I start it with Mass.

6. Just had to stop blogging long enough to remove a hammer from the hands of a five year old who is trying to see what happens when he hits his truck. Pieces and parts on the carpet. Back to working on the vacuum plan for tomorrow.

7. The Cardinals are losing and I'm kind of glad I turned down tickets to the game. I can watch them lose tonight from home and I saved a lot of money. This is a good thing.

8. Knitting is non-existent. I want to knit, but I'm not inspired by the stash or by the patterns I have on hand. Going to get myself going by knitting for the Red Scarf Project. I've vowed to Norma to knit two, and am doing so in honor of my two adopted sons. Going on Friday to purchase some yarn that wows me. That will surely cure the knitting blues I've got going on.

9. Soooo glad for a break from the heat we had last week. Praying it lasts as long as possible.

10. Looking forward to the holiday. Wishing Libby was here to sit on the lawn at the park with me, oohing and aahing at the fireworks. It just isn't the same without her. Libby-I miss you. Can you come?
